Wild second quarter for Tritons, Seraphs so far

Alijah Royster makes his second touchdown run of the night, a 4-yard run, pushes Pacifica lead to 14-6 but is promptly ejected for some reason.

A fumble in the St. Bonaventure backfield and Pacifica linebacker Malalika Sione scoops up the loose ball and returns it 30 yards for a Tritons touchdown, givng Pacifica a 21-6 lead over St. Bonaventure.

Then, Koen Glover’s second touchdown run of the night pulls St. Bonaventure within 21-12. Seraphs conversion attempt fails.

Ventura versus Moorpark has yet to get underway after a power outage at Larrabee Stadium. Athletic directors are now saying they'll wait until 8 p.m. to call the game.

San Marcos first to get on the board

At the start of the second quarter, San Marcos puts up 7 on the board. Santa Paula yet to answer back.

Friday night lights at Ventura High's Larrabee Stadium?

Technical difficulties are causing a bit of a headache at Ventura High. Administrators are working to get the lights up and running before kickoff with Moorpark. They've made some progress. We'll keep you posted.

If power is not restored by 7:30 p.m., the game will be called, according to the athletic director. Game could be rescheduled for Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Dodger's game is blaring over the loudspeakers, Star reporter Dominic Massimino reports.

Brady Smigiel hit twin brother Beau Smigiel for a 36-yard TD pass as the twin brothers celebrated their 18th birthday with a win at Calabasas High Thursday night. Here's The Star's coverage.

Simi Valley is 7-0

Quarterback Tagg Harrison, a former Pacifica High quarterback, had a big night as Simi Valley improved to 7-0 with a Marmonte League win at Camarillo High Thursday night.
